Sword Mare- Basic Melee Weapon Stucture Concept

   A very basic melee weapon concept for ponies. This is for a Sword Mare story concept I have. Sword Mare is a comic book series mentioned in the My Little Pony Fanfic Fallout: Equestria by Kkat.

  In Fallout: Equestria ponies use guns and many fans of that story and its spin off story redesigned the shape of firearm to be more pony user friendly. Human swords aren’t pony user friendly when it comes to combat. For example if a pony holds a sword in its mouth and swings to attack they leave their necks open and leave open blind spots. So I decided to try to come up with and concept for a pony friendly melee weapon.

These aren’t the final measurements of what the weapon would look like, Swords are all different shapes and sizes. Sword Mare’s sword will be longer then her body for example. There are just a basic concept of the shape.

I believe a blade of this shape helps protect the neck in battle. It would allow the pony thrust with their whole body weight/momentum by dashing at their target. I added a hook concept because some sword’s hilt guards are designed to snag a blade and pull them out of someone’s hand. A spike could also be added for forward thrusts.
